LIVERPOOL JOHN LENNON AIRPORT - Situated
7.5 miles South-East of Liverpool City Centre, Liverpool John Lennon
Airport provides a 24 hour service and is equipped with modern radar
and navigation equipment to facilitate all-weather movements.
Liverpool
Airport does not impose runway slot restrictions, thus allowing a high
degree of flexibility in scheduling aircraft movements. Coupled with
this is the absence of delays on the ground and in the air, which gives
a further valuable time saving.
The Flying School is situated on the General Aviation apron at Liverpool
John Lennon Airport. This is a seperate facility dedicated to general
and business aviation and operates independent of the main terminal
apron, which is located at the western end of the airport.
The airfield has full cover from the Fire Service. It has navigational
aids which allow training on the Instrument Landing System (ILS) and
because we share the airport with commercial traffic, students get used
to operating the radio and flying in a professional environment.
