Ravenair offer 30 and 60 minute trial lessons in either a 2 seat PA38 or a 4 seat PA28 from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

During the trial lesson you will get the chance to take control of the aircraft, giving you an idea of what we enjoy doing every day.

A Trial Lesson will involve:

• Pre-flight brief explaining where your flight is likely to take you using an aeronautical chart, as well as answer any questions you may have.
• The instructor will talk you through any checks and procedures that must be carried out before every flight and point out the main elements of the airframe.
• Once in the aircraft, the engine is started, and permission will be requested from Air Traffic Control to taxi to hold short of the runway. A few more checks will be carried out and then you will be cleared to take-off.
• Once your instructor has the aircraft airborne you will be given control for the remainder of the flight and shown a few of the basics.
• Unfortunately for you, the instructor will take control of the aircraft to land, but you can sit back and enjoy the experience.
