If you have a Part-FCL pilots licence, you can extend the privileges of your licence by adding a night rating.
Even those who do not wish to pursue a professional flying career often want to be able to fly a higher performance aircraft than that used for PPL training. With a MEP Rating you can fly one of Ravenair’s larger and more powerful aircraft like the Piper Seneca. Learning how to control the aircraft under asymmetric (single engine) power forms a major part of the MEP Rating.

Requirements for obtaining a MEP:

Minimum of 6 hours flight training:

2 hours 30 minutes dual instruction under normal conditions of multi-engine operations

3 hours 30 minutes dual instruction in engine failure procedures and asymmetric flight techniques

7 hours mandatory groundschool
​
Passing the written exam (75% or higher)

Pass the Skill Test with a Flight Examiner
